Poem for Teachers

Poems For the Superheroes, recited by Yr6 of Khalifah Model School on Teachers' Day 2017

Dear superheroes,

Remember six years ago?

We were in Year One,

learning everything from zero.

Year Two was no difference,

going through high and low.

And we managed Year Three,  

and just won’t stop to grow.

Being in Year Four was okay,

We got to wear the jubah and baju melayu on Friday.

Time passes by without us noticing,

We were in Year Five and never stop learning.

Wham! Bam! Like a magic spell,

We are now Year Six and still doing well!

And soon.. we’ll be gone…

“What do you want to be?”

A doctor, an engineer or might even own a company

“Insyaallah, because you are born heroes!”

Nope! Because we learned from superheroes!

Yes! Thank you to you, you, and you; our superb superheroes

We mean you, Tchr Shomi, Tchr Lin, Tchr Huda

And you Tchr Fuza, Tchr Amirah and Tchr Atiqah

Painting our minds with knowledge and truth,

That surely light the path to our youth.

Syukran jazilan to you, you and you; our awesome superheroes

We mean you, Tchr Fadhilah ,Tchr Sha, Tchr Hazirah

And you Tchr Rara, Tchr Azillah and Tch Nadzirah

Cured our sadness with smiles and motivation,

Leaving traces of loves and inspiration.

Merci beaucoup to you, you and you; our wonderful superheroes

We mean you, Tchr Wani, Tchr Ayu, Tchr Nurul, Tchr Yati

And you Tchr Azimah, Tchr Aina, Tchr Hanisah, and Tchr Hanini

Never gave up on us and advise our faults,

So that our mind body and soul are guided with great thoughts.

Domo-arigato to you, you and you; our handsome superheroes

We mean you, Ust Syafiq, U Azim, U Khairul, U Fadhli

And you U Insan, U Ahmad, U Mohktar and U Syidi

You guys rock and we just want to let you know

Without your passion and persistence, how could we grow?

Terima kasih cikgu-cikgu khalifah

For the smiles upon your face

Despites of the excuses we gave

For the motivation you grace

When everything is a mess

For the patience you have

Though we try hard to have it crash

For that cool hi-five

For that intimate doa

For that genuine hugs

For that encouraging words

For just being you, the greatest cikgu-cikgu khalifah

For just being superheroes
